Weight Loss Motivation Tips

Losing a few pounds isn’t that difficult.  When you set out on a diet, you undoubtedly lose some weight within the first week and then sooner or later you gain it back.  The problem has to do with motivation and weight loss.  You need to discover the reasons why you really want to lose weight.  These weight loss motivation tips will help.

The first thing you need to do is really sit down in a quiet place and think about why you’re wanting to lose weight.  Is it to make your husband happy?  To show your friends you can do it?  Those won’t work long term.  It needs to be because you really want it.

Get out some paper and write down reasons why you want to lose weight and what the benefits would be.  You need to be doing this for yourself and to focus on what you see as important reasons.

These are some benefits that I’ve considered:  The fun of going shopping and looking at and trying on clothes that look good on me.  This would be fun instead of embarrassing as it can become.

I’ll feel better and have more energy.  I’ll enjoy exercising again and won’t feel joint pain or be out of breath so quickly.  With this comes an overall feeling of good health.

When I think of weight loss motivation tips, feeling great about me again was a biggie.  I wanted to be proud of me and not self conscious.  When someone talked about a heavy person, I wouldn’t feel bad because that wasn’t me anymore.

Write your own reasons down and refer to this paper often, even daily.  I think having more energy, feeling healthier and being in an overall better mood should lead to motivation and weight loss.  For more dieting plans and weight loss motivation tips, go here for a kickstart to your weight loss success.
