Tips for Overall Weight Loss- Part 2

Overall weight loss takes some time and commitment.  The results are so worth the effort.  Rapid weight loss diets seem easy and convenient many times but weight rapidly lost is usually rapidly gained back.  These are tips for a lifetime.

•    Eating 3 meals a day and 2 lesser meals or snacks can seem daunting.  We’re all busy and how can we be worrying about meals all day?  Planning ahead is the way to do it.  It’s really easy once you prepare before leaving for the day or whatever you are doing.  By planning to do this, you will increase your metabolism and lessen the chances of craving sweets or high carb snacks.  An example of a snack would be something high protein such as low fat string cheese or slices of chicken breast.  An apple or orange is perfect and filling.

•    The importance of vegetables can’t be over emphasized in overall weight loss.  If you’re not big on veggies it’s time to experiment.  Try some vegetables that you haven’t eaten before.  Eat as many veggies as possible as they are low in carbs and very high in fiber.  Try grilling veggies in a little real butter to spice them up and make them interesting and tasty.

•    Rapid weight loss diets often don’t address the need to not feel hungry. How can you do that?  Drinking water after meals and snacks will really go a long ways towards cutting that food craving.  Water also helps remove any food aftertaste that leads to wanting to eat again and eat more.

Overall weight loss isn’t that difficult if you employ some of the above tips and keep your eye on the prize.  Using these tips in conjunction with this program will lead you in a healthy and effective weight loss direction.
