Instead of saying my wife is fat or my husband is fat, be encouraging. Sometimes weight gain can result from medical issues. It’s important that they be checked by a doctor to make sure that the weight problem isn’t due to other possibly serious causes. Encourage them to be checked out and go with them if necessary.
It’s really important that you eat in restaurants less. Help prepare healthy food in portions that can only be controlled in your own kitchen. Eating out is usually not the healthiest alternative as too much salt is common and the food is just not meant to fit your dietetic requirements at this point.
Maybe you spouse is thinking my wife is fat or my husband is fat. If you’re overweight then the example your setting will not result in success. You need to set an example of exercise, healthy eating and a slim lifestyle to encourage you spouse.
Set fitness goals for you and your spouse. Work out together and keep each other motivated. Discipline isn’t easy to maintain until a healthy lifestyle becomes a habit just as overeating and too much laying around was a habit.
Spend time in the kitchen together making your meals and working to make the healthiest recipes you can find and that seem interesting to both of you. You don’t want to let boredom set in during this process.
