Dieting Tips- Changing Your Mindset, Part 4

One of the most important changing your mindset dieting tips has to do with weight.  Remember the scales often don’t tell the whole story.   The best way to lose weight also means not obsessing on things and that includes your weight.

When you start exercising there is a good chance you will gain weight.  That’s why the quickest way to lose weight is not necessarily the best or healthiest way.  When you have exercised for a while you will be building muscle and this represents extra pounds that you should be proud of.

Instead of concentrating on pounds lost or gained, use your journal to keep track of how long you are exercising and what you are doing and how many reps.  A close accounting of the healthy foods you are eating will make you feel good about yourself.  This is one of the most important dieting tips I can give you.  Please be kind to yourself and watch your self esteem grow.  This may not be the quickest way to lose weight but it is the best way to lose weight.

Again it’s critical to not be hard on yourself.  What we are doing here is changing habits for the rest of your life.  You won’t be as driven to succeed some weeks as you will other weeks.  My dieting tips always include the theory that if you’re good 75% of the time, you have a little room to play the other 25%.
