4 Great Ways to Lose Weight
Among the great ways to lose weight are throwing out or giving away all the high fat, high carb foods in our refrigerator and pantry. We’re trying to burn fat and that means restricting our intake. The first step is symbolic as well as having a purpose. Get a big garbage bag and fill it with breads, chips, cakes, cookie, candy, sodas and pastas. Ouch! I know it hurts but you can’t be tempted if it’s not there.
So what do we eat? Lots of fish, white meat, fruits and vegetables. No limit on fruits and vegetables. Fill up on them. Snacks are fruits like banana, apples, oranges, etc. Nuts and lots of water. 10 glasses a day is healthful and filling. Drink water before and after meals. It really helps fight that craving for more.
Eating out is not among the great ways to lose weight. In fact it’s a no-no. You can’t control what you’re eating or the portions when someone else is doing the cooking. Also we tend to justify eating foods we know we shouldn’t when we’re in a restaurant. Pretty hard to burn fat when you’re chowing down on something served up fried or a plate of lasagna or raviolis. A treat now and then is okay but only as a reward for you doing wonderfully on your weight loss plan.
Anything you do to burn fat, do it with your spouse or partner. If a couple is involved it gives you increased support and reinforcement for maintaining your new healthy, slim habits.
