Lose Unwanted Pounds- Diet at Work, Part 2

I want to share with you how you can lose unwanted pounds and still successfully diet at work.  Believe me you won’t be jogging through the office of screaming while doing crunches behind your desk.

•    Concentrate and get in the habit of continually moving while at your desk.  If you whirl around in your swivel chair you can burn around 45 calories.  Standing up instead of sitting is good for your legs and back and has the added bonus of burning calories.  Yes just standing up.  If you can get away with doing a few squats and lunges you can really get the metabolism pumping.

•    In my previous post I talked about drinking water and how it increases your metabolism besides being a healthy habit.  You can lose unwanted pounds by substituting cold water with lime or lemon squeezed into it rather than sodas, juices or iced tea.

•    Take the stairs instead of the elevator.  In fact if you can spend 10 minutes a day walking up and down the stairs, you can really burn a significant number of calories with the benefit of strengthening your body.  You CAN diet at work.

•    Don’t have lunch out or at a fast food restaurant.  The goal is to lose unwanted pounds and that mean fixing a nutritious lunch at home and eating at work or in a park.  You’ll save time, money and calories.
