Tips for Overall Weight Loss

I want to give you some easy tips for overall weight loss that are also healthy and will make you feel better.  Sometimes we forget that the big plus of being of normal weight is how great you feel.  This is a huge motivator if you really stay in touch with how much better you are feeling as you travel the weight loss road.  The quickest way to lose weight is when you are really fired up because of the extra energy and vigor that you are experiencing.

•    Drinking at least 8 glasses of water a day is an easy way to do something good for your body and be healthy.  It seems like a lot of liquid but it’s really not once you get used to it.  Get in the habit of carrying a bottle of water with you all of the time and  whenever you leave the house.  Drink one or two glasses in the morning before breakfast and other meals also.  It will start your day on a healthy note and cut down on your appetite.  Put some lime or lemon in the water to give it some zest.

•    Overall weight loss demands that you eat breakfast.  It’s crucial for good health and weight control.  After waking up you need to get your metabolism rolling again and breakfast fills the bill.  If you eat breakfast you will be less likely to binge later on pastries or something sweet.

•    Remember the quickest way to lose weight is often being aware and knowledgeable about foods.  Foods based in sugar, white flour, rice or corn are not on the approved list.  This will make it clear when you’re not sure about whether a snack is okay.  Avoid white fruits and vegetables.  Apples, oranges, grapes and melons are great.  Broccoli, peas, green beans and lettuce are fine and like the fruits they are high in fiber and of course are healthy.
